If you didn’t already know, I’m kind of obsessed with NOODLES and SOUP. It could be any kind of noodle. It could be any type of soup. I love them separately, and even more so, when they’re together. Anyone else with me? Here’s another addition to my Soup list – CJ Foods Beksul Beef Bone Flavored Soup Concentrate (Gomtang).
What is Gomtang?
Gomtang is a clear beef soup, made by simmering various cuts of beef for several hours. Using cuts such as ribs, oxtail and brisket yields in a rich, milky broth. Gomtang is commonly eaten with steamed rice or somen noodles. It is very common for individuals to season their own servings of Gomtang upon receiving, with additions such as minced garlic, green onions, salt and pepper. This dish is a Korean comfort food that is eaten at all times of the day – breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Honest Review/Thoughts
I throughly enjoyed having this soup concentrate on hand for quick, easy, and most importantly, comforting meals! I also love that it’s very compact for storing.
I thought that these capsules had great beef flavor. It was indeed like I had simmered my own pot of beef bone broth for hours! The beef flavor enhanced when I added salt and pepper, as well as my own protein. The cut of beef I prefer with this is usually boneless short ribs, since the fat from the beef gives more depth and beefiness to the soup concentrate.
